The skills came first
Sienna learned to work on bikes from her dad. When she answered Jace’s online ad for a pit crew assistant, she used only her surname: Cross.
She had lost more opportunities than she should have because people saw her first name and skipped over her. Using her surname gave her a chance to let her knowledge speak first. Her emails and texts caught Jace’s attention, and he invited her to a practice day at the track.
Meeting Jace
When Sienna arrived, Jace was impressed. She introduced herself and explained why she had applied as Cross. His response was straightforward:
“I don’t care if you’re a man, woman or chimpanzee, if you can keep my bike running and fix it when it breaks, you’re hired.”
She spent the whole day working. She did not put on a performance or pretend to know more than she did. Jace saw the effort and skill for himself, and offered her the job.
Over time, working together became something more. They fell for each other.
Another side of Sienna
Sienna also has a history in alt modeling. She joined DiverseCity shortly before the agency’s unexpected closure, and has been the subject of quite a few of Randi’s photo shoots.
She still does the occasional shoot. Her work around bikes and her time in front of the camera are both parts of her life.
The trip to Toronto
After Jace found N30N in a photograph from Technocolor, their renewed conversations left him concerned. Sienna and Jace decided to visit him in Toronto.
Ash joined the trip without telling N30N. Seeing each other again finally gave Ash and N30N the chance to say how they felt. When Sienna and Jace headed home, Ash stayed.
Home in Denver
Sienna lives with Jace in his modest three-bedroom house in Denver, where Ash also lived before moving in with N30N.
She and Jace are a cohesive team. They enjoy being together without needing to do everything together, and both value their own time as well. Their work brought them together, and they have built a life beyond the track too.
