Across the hall
By the beginning of OFF//SCRIPT, Dustin has lived across the hall from N30N and Ash for three months. They have had time to talk and get to know him as a neighbor.
He is friendly, approachable, and easygoing, and willing to lend a hand. He also has his own moods, limits, and life beyond the people across the hallway.
“What does he do for work?”
One night, Ash asked N30N, “Has Dustin ever said what he does for work?”
N30N thought for a moment. “No… Come to think of it, he’s like, always around, and it’s obvious that he’s not rich, but he never goes anywhere, never talks about work, but his rent and bills are always paid.”
Then he shrugged. “But, it’s also none of my business.”
Neither of them knows what Dustin does for work or where his income comes from. For now, that question stays unanswered.
OFF//SCRIPT
Dustin is part of the OFF//SCRIPT cast, bringing an established friendship with N30N and Ash into the shared story.
