Finding his work
A Hobby Became His Occupation
Taka began taking street photographs as a hobby. After being let go from his job, photography became both his passion and his occupation.
He wanted to improve his nighttime work, particularly his approach to liminal photography, and posted an online request for help. Mori, a more experienced street photographer, answered.
Their sessions became a friendship, then a photography duo, then a romantic relationship. Together, they founded SYN//TH.B0i.
In his own terms
Fluid
Taka has struggled with understanding his sexuality, and that uncertainty affected his dating life. Today, he describes his sexuality as fluid. He dates people he finds attractive, regardless of their sex or gender identity.
Photography has become his work and a shared creative pursuit with Mori.
